1. How Does Sugar & Spice Storks Work?

To reserve your stork, give us a call as soon as baby is born. We offer a custom keepsake bundle that will include baby’s first and middle names, date of birth, length and weight. We do offer a generic bundle (It’s a Boy, It’s a Girl, Welcome home baby, or Welcome Home), if you would like that instead of a personalized bundle. When you order we will need the delivery address, phone number, gate code if applicable, and if there is a sprinkler system in the yard (this does not have to be turned off).

We do our very best to arrive before mom and baby come home from the hospital, so please let us know when they should be discharged.  When your 7 or 14 day rental period is over, we will remove the stork from your yard and will leave you with your personalized bundle (and sibling stars if applicable) to enjoy forever.

2. How far in advance should I order the announcement?

Ordering ahead of time is not necessary unless it’s for a baby shower, gender reveal party or a Birthday/Celebration Flamingo. As soon as the baby arrives, give us a call to request a delivery. (We do ask for at least 24 hours notice, rush deliveries will incur a fee)

4. Where do you deliver?

Sugar & Spice Storks will deliver to the entire Rio Grande Valley.

Sugar and Spice Storks is conveniently located in McAllen, Texas and proudly delivers to the entire Rio Grande Valley including: Pharr, San Juan, Alamo, Edinburg, Mission, Sharyland, Palmview, La Joya, Palmhurst, Rio Grande City, Roma, Weslaco, Donna, La Feria, Mercedes, Harlingen, Elsa, Edcouch, Linn, San Manuel, La Villa, Hidalgo, Progreso Lakes, San Benito, Rancho Viejo, Raymondville, Brownsville, Los Fresnos, South Padre Island.

5. When will the Stork be delivered and picked up?

We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We will always strive to arrive before mom comes home from the hospital, but delivery times are not guaranteed. Pick Up will be 7 or 14 days after rental delivery depending on the rental period.

6. Is there a delivery charge?

Delivery and Set-up is included for all orders that are within a 15 mile radius of McAllen, Texas.  Deliveries outside of 15 miles will be subject to an additional delivery charge.

7. What if we want sibling signs?

We offer sibling star signs for the special big sister or brother. The proud big brother(s) and sister(s) love to be included in this special time, and they especially love seeing their name displayed on the front lawn next to baby’s stork.

8. What about multiples?

We normally set up a separate sign for each baby. The first sign is priced at the regular rate. Each subsequent sign is rented at a discount. Please refer to our ‘Pricing’ page.

9. How does the Baby Shower rental work?

Renting a stork yard sign is a great way to let friends and family now “The Shower is Here”. We will set up the stork 2 hours prior to your baby shower and pick it up 2 hours after the shower concludes. We offer “The Shower is Here” or “Welcome Baby” bundles for baby showers. If you would like to have a personalized bundle let us know when you order and we can upgrade your order for a fee.

10. What do you do for a Gender Reveal party?

If you know the gender of the baby and want to make the announcement in a BIG way, you can give us a call to reserve our pink AND blue stork that includes a wrapped bundle that reads “It’s a Girl!” or “It’s a Boy!” Party guests will find out what the baby will be once the parents-to-be unwrap the bundle.

11. What happens if the stork gets damaged?

If you notice any damage on the stork please notify us immediately. Our signs are durable, weather-resistant and designed to last. However, they are not designed to endure children climbing on them so please keep your child from doing so. We are not responsible for any injuries due to children (or adults) playing on or around the stork. Use caution while mowing the lawn or weed trimming. The damage will be evaluated and we will determine the cost of repair or replacement.

12. What is your refund/cancellation policy?

Personalized products can’t be returned for a refund. If we make an error, we will promptly replace your order. If you make an error on your order, we can normally replace your order at a discount. Please contact us as soon as possible, so that we can correct any errors. Cancellations inside of 24 hours from scheduled delivery will not be refunded.
